Travel Notes--Skavsta

I thought I'd start some travel notes on the places that have influenced my writing or make an appearance in my books.

Skavsta Airport

Okay, so I took some creative license here. Despite my portrayal in Secrets, Lies, and Sneaky Spies, you can't get a direct flight from the US into Skavsta airport. Besides, poor Izzie was flight-traumatized enough without having to make a transfer. Why did I include it, instead of the more accurate Arlanda? Well, my first entry into Sweden was through Skavsta, and as such, it is seared into my mind. I loved whizzing down the highway past tall yellow-green grass and seeing deer trotting by. It was so beautiful, I knew I had to include it. Also, in terms of Swedish airport coverage, I'm sure Arlanda will make an appearance at some point.

I had a run-in with customs at Bromma airport, so I know I'd never include them. Jerks. (Yes, I'm still bitter).
